I’m delighted to say that “Church Arise!” has reached #3 in the October 2020 Indie / Folk / Acoustic Chart run by astepfwd.com.
A few years back I asked my friend for a song writing challenge and so she asked me to write a lament. She suggested I focus on a song to minister to and encourage a church facing a national disaster. Neither of us had any inkling of the terrible Covid-19 pandemic coming our way, but God did. Church Arise! is the song that resulted.
So as lockdown hit the United Kingdom, I felt an urgency in my spirit that this was the time to share the songs on the album and write the accompanying book. My prayer is that the listener grows in their relationship with God and be encouraged to delight and revel in His grace. As we accept His amazing freedom we will be equipped to be outward looking and share the hope of Jesus with the world!
