What a crazy few weeks it has been with the two album launch events and recording my first radio interview! Thank you to everyone who has come and supported me at the launches and bought the album. I have been blessed and encouraged by everyone’s responses and comments about the album – thank you! For those of you who interested in buying it please check out my online store.
Last Wednesday I had the pleasure of recording my first radio interview – thanks to Jonathan Bellamy and Cross Rhythms. I was rather nervous as this is all new – but soon relaxed into it talking about my battle with M.E./CFS, self worth and finding my identity in Christ. This will be aired on Cross Rhythms Breakthrough Nights on Tuesday 2nd June 8pm (you can listen on line here or if you live in North Staffordshire then 101.8 FM). The interview will be repeated on Wed 3rd and Thursday 4th June at 8pm. It will also be available as a podcast from Wed 3rd June on the Listen Again page.
A couple of the tracks from the album are included in the interview, and I am excited that I am getting the opportunity to share my music, faith, story and journey with others.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of performing and leading worship at the church I grew up in – Purley Baptist Church. This was for the second launch event and I was supported by a very talented singer/song writer called Matt Rolfe who will hopefully be getting into the studio soon! He is definitely an artist to watch out for! It was a real pleasure playing with a band made up of people from my current church and people I have known for a very long time from my old church – all talented musicians. It was special for me leading worship in the church I grew up in, where I journeyed the first part of my life – I was baptised there, walked through anxiety, stress, depression there and also got married! For me it symbolises this new season I am now in, as I have said before I am not exactly sure where God is leading me, and I sometimes struggle with this. I am a person who likes to know what is going on! God is stretching me in this area, but I can say that I walk forward with my eyes fixed on Him, excited to see what he is going to do.
I pray you have a blessed week,
